Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary map

Learn the fascinating and unique story of a devoted group of volunteers who are taking an 83 million-year-old Mosasaur fossil from the ground to the museum floor. This has been achieved often under harsh conditions with little to no budget!  Darlene Summerfelt and volunteers will show what types of tools they use for fossil preparation. Also, see the turtle project that is ongoing and that will require volunteers in the future.

This presentation is free with paid general admission and open to the public. Heard Museum Members get in free. Preregistration required. To register, click here.
