    As a special Heard Museum member benefit, a Heard Museum members-only presale for Halloween at the Heard tickets will be offered from September 20-29. Over the last few years, this event has sold out several days before the event. This presale provides Heard Museum members with first access to tickets to this popular event. Tickets purchased by members during the presale will also be discounted $1 per ticket! This offer will only be available by email.   • Nature Story Time

    Nature Story Times are designed primarily for young children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. During many of the story times, a puppet, live animal or enrichment items will be included to enhance the experience. These programs should last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered. 

    These programs are included in general admission and free for Heard Museum Members.

    Story Times are available for groups of 10 or more by reservation only. Please contact us at info@heardmuseum.org for more information.

  • Butterfly Talk: Amazing Monarchs

    Discover more about our state butterfly, their migration pattern, life cycle & how you can help protect their habitat. Designed primarily for adults. Interested youth may attend with an adult. May not be suitable for children younger than 10 years. Talks are led by Melanie Schuchart, one of our key butterfly volunteers. Each presentation will last about an hour followed by a walk through the butterfly house and garden.

    Included in general admission and free for Heard Museum members. No preregistration required.

  • Scouting Workshop: Webelos - Into the Woods

    Interested in earning a badge or looking for a fun nature-based activity for your group? Our badge workshops might be just what you need. Each two hour workshop is specifically geared to meet the requirements for the listed organization’s badge, but they are open to any interested groups. Dates offered: September through May, as scheduled. Preregistration required.

    Registration form

    Fee: $15 per scout, $12 per adult.  For every 10 paid scouts, get one (1) adult free. This price includes museum admission for the day. Each scout must have a responsible adult in attendance at the workshop; one adult may bring up to 10 scouts.
