2009 Annual Appeal

You’re invited to make a difference in nature education by contributing to The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. Your contribution helps continue the growth of the education programs, exhibits, and special events we offer to the community.

We want you to know that the Heard: 

• Welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually
• Educates more than 20,000 students in our science-based classes, outreach programs and field trips
• Maintains the oldest recognized bird banding program in Texas
• Promotes native plants at our annual spring and fall plant sales
• Organizes events like our Green Living Family Festival, Halloween at The Heard, Holidays at The Heard and Take a Hike…For Your Community
• Continues to bring quality exhibits to the community including the ever-popular Dinosaurs Alive! (opening 10/01/09), Treasures from the Earth: Diamonds, Gold & Dinos, Animals of the World, Native Texas Butterflies and beehive and snake exhibits
