Date Night at the Heard
May 20, 6-9 p.m.
Date Night at the Heard will be a fun, outdoor fundraising event featuring live music, dancing, a cash bar and tasty food trucks. Tickets are now available to the public (while supplies last).
The event will be for guests ages 21+; however, we will have child care available (spots are limited and only available for event participants) for kids ages 5-12. Click here to learn more.

Child Care - SOLD OUT
Because this is an adults-only event, we will have childcare available (spots are now SOLD OUT) for kids ages 5-12. The childcare ($15 per child) will be offered by the same great staff and volunteers that lead Heard educational programs. Pre-registration is required and spots may not be available to those without a prior reservation. Kids will enjoy live animal presentations, kid-friendly nature videos, games and puzzles. Water and popcorn will be provided by the Heard. Kids may bring an outside snack if they wish.
A portion of all food truck sales also benefit the Heard.
The Guava Tree Truck is a Cuban American Truskstaurant that has been on the road since September 2012. The Guava Tree Truck is owned and operated by Onel and Pam Perez, who have taken Onel’s Traditional Cuban family recipes and have added a modern food truck twist. They were honored to take their truck on the road with The Food Network in 2015 when they debuted on The Great Food Truck Race with host Tyler Florence. They were also named one of the nine best food trucks in Dallas in 2015 by Thrillist. The Guava Tree Truck is sure to satisfy your Cuban fare cravings!

Enjoy classic Rock and Roll from the Blandelles! Their nostalgic, fun and exciting entertainment will bring everyone out to the dance floor. The Blandelles are a collection of professionals who have carved out a niche in the northeast Texas and southern Oklahoma area by playing rock and roll "the way you remember it" since 1985. They play rock and roll music from the years 1954 to 1969.

Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary is located in McKinney, Texas (Collin County). The Heard was founded in 1967 by Bessie Heard. Miss Heard was 80 years old when she saw the need to preserve a place where future generations could experience nature. Today, the Heard's mission of bringing nature and people together to discover, enjoy, experience, restore, and preserve our priceless environment is carried out through education, particularly of young people, which emphasizes an appreciation of nature and its conservation.
