Heard Event

Meet the Plants: Native Plant Sale Virtual Preview (Members Only)

Event Date: April 13, 2022
Start Time: 7:00 pm

Would you like to learn more about the plants available at the Heard’s Spring Plant Sale before you arrive? We’re offering Heard Museum Members a unique benefit: a virtual sneak preview webinar on April 13 at 7 p.m. (via Zoom).

At this exclusive presentation, the Heard’s Native Gardens Manager, Amy Monroy, will offer a segment on gardening for butterflies and other pollinators. Carol Clark and Dr. Bill Woodfin, knowledgeable native plant enthusiasts and members of Collin County Chapter of Native Plant Society of Texas, will present segments about using native plants in shaded settings and gardening for birds (including hummingbirds). Bill Freiheit will also share his insights into several of the rare plants he has grown for our sale.

We’ll also offer a Q&A segment so that participants will have a chance to get answers to follow-up questions that may arise. You’ll gain a new appreciation for many wonderful native Texas plants!
