Bird sanctuaries are more than just safe havens for avian species—they are vital ecosystems that support a wide range of life and contribute to the planet’s overall ecological balance. T.D. (Terry) Morgan, author, avid birder, and founder of Saving Terra, travels to all 7 continents in search of birds and the effects of climate change on biodiversity will present firsthand accounts of the role bird sanctuaries play across the planet.
While exploring the global importance of bird sanctuaries in conserving biodiversity, protecting migratory routes, and maintaining healthy habitats, T.D. will also examine the ecological roles birds play, and how sanctuaries help mitigate environmental threats.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how bird sanctuaries serve as critical tools in the global effort to preserve biodiversity and how community involvement, policy, and conservation science intersect to protect and maintain birds and precious ecosystems worldwide.
