Kindergarten –  6th Grade

March 8 – March 11; 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Did you know that Texas is home to a variety of aquatic and land turtles? Come and find out more about these favorite reptiles as we explore topics like where they live, how fast they move, and if they can take off their shells. Meet some of our education turtles in person and look for wild ones during our nature hike.

As the coldest time of the year comes to an end, new life sprouts up all over. Come join us as we look for some of the signs of spring: new leaves and budding flowers, migrating birds, baby animals and more!

Hone your detective skills as we sleuth around for nature clues from tracks and scat to chewed leaves and holes in bark. Then we’ll piece  together what we’ve found to find out more about “who done it!”

Where do birds like ducks and cranes stop when they are migrating? Where do fish and frogs hatch and grow up? Where do deer and raccoons get a drink? Join us as we take a hike through our wetlands and find out just how important wetlands are not only to the plants and animals that live there, but to all living things as well.
